Oh my god, the time is just flying by!
What’s new? Well, the little man is still refusing to let me sleep through the night (I must stop drinking after 7pm!!) and unlike last week, I’ve done a bit of a 360 with his clothes. Do you remember when I mentioned that he hasn’t got that many babygrows? Urm.. scrap that, he’s got more than enough!!
I was absolutely shattered on Saturday night and I was really looking forward for my lie-in on Sunday morning. Unfortunately, babi G didn’t get his mam’s memo! I was woken up at 4am with baby hiccups. 4 O’CLOCK. They say that your body prepares you for the lack of sleep, but bloody hell that’s a bit extreme isn’t it! However, it wasn’t all bad as I got to binge on MAFS (Married at First Sight – I’m OBSESSED) for a solid three hours before the rest of the house woke up.
If covid wasn’t around, I’d definitely book myself in for a pregnancy photoshoot. But with the situation as it currently is, I decided to bring the photoshoot to me on Sunday morning! With a bit of slap on my face and a comb through my hair, I took a few baby bump photos, because why not? A woman’s body is so extraordinary, especially when we’re growing a child, so why not celebrate it?
I got to hear my little man’s heartbeat yesterday and had my bump measured. He’s growing exactly as he should be according to the midwife. Attending the appointments NEVER get any easier. Sitting on those plastic chairs in the reception whilst waiting for your name to be called still feels exactly the same as it did the first time I attended an appointment. Bloody terrifying. But, it’s all worth it when you get to hear your little baby’s heartbeat.
We’re down to the final fortnight in work. You can do it, Annest. I’ll be sad to leave work and my amazing co-workers but, my God I can’t explain how much I’m looking forward to be able to nap in the day whenever I feel tired, or not have to get up when the alarm rings in the morning. I’ll be taking full advantage of any sleep available before babi G steals it all!
I have a person that’s measuring the same as a melon in my tummy at the moment. God help my vagina!!
Things to do in the coming week:
- Take one night out to pamper myself. I feel I’m overdue a little pamper session!
- Attend antenatal classes about birth and feeding
- Try and go for a walk with my little family on the weekend
